How to host a Lovely Easter Garden Brunch!

Easter Garden Brunch
The countdown to Easter is upon us and if you're like me, you've been scouring different sites hoping to get inspiration for your Easter celebration. I can help!
I am sharing some lovely styling ideas for hosting an Easter Garden Brunch from the dessert table, to the tablescape, to the place cards and even a fun favor idea!

The color palette I decided on was inspired by the darling robin's egg blue of the egg plates and table runner. (which by the way were both from the dollarspot at Target) Adding in some greens, browns, whites and of course pops of copper and gold and my palette was complete!  I love mixing metals too.  You don't have to just choose gold or silver or copper.  Mix them up and have fun with it!

Let's get started with the tablescape!
I like to sometimes layer up my table runners for more added interest. My first layer was a wide chocolate damask runner, followed by a robin's egg blue runner and topped off with a olive green crinkle satin loosely bunched up down the center of the table to add some fun texture.
I then nestled my bunnies, little flower arrangements, moss balls and mini cupcake displays along the bunched fabric and finished it off with a gorgeous rose gold glass egg I had found at Homegoods as the centerpiece.

My place setting was fairly simple. I used a simple white plate topped with the darling blue egg plate and positioned the rolled olive green napkin at an angle on the top left.  I found the cutest white bunny ear napkin rings with gold centers at ... you guessed it,  Target. (they were only $3 for 4)
Finally, for the glassware, any chance I get to use my crystal glasses I do. It just adds that extra sparkle to the table.

In the center of the egg plate, I placed the most adorable place holder;  and It was super simple to create.  All you need are plastic paint-able eggs, copper paint,  gold cupcake liners, green crinkle, a white marker and some glue. Your guests will love them!

I absolutely have to have favors at all my parties!
It's just such a nice way of saying, "Thank you for coming!"  I am definitely a sucker for cute jars and I use them whenever I can.  I found these really cute ones at Target and painted the covers gold. I then added the most adorable fuzzy green bunny I found at a local stationary store,  of course added a glittery paper crown and filled them with green crinkle and yummy chocolate eggs! To complete the look I designed a sweet little tag that matched the invite I had created. You can download your free tags HERE!

Now you could just stop here with a beautiful tablescape with which to serve your brunch on.
Or, you can also add a lovely dessert table which is what I did.
I started with a simple white desk, added olive green runners. (one flat and one bunched a bit for texture)
I kept the desserts simple but yummy! I made the most delicious homemade carrot cake (thanks to Jenny Cookies recipe) with cream cheese frosting in a sweet ruffled pattern, mini cupcakes decorated to look like little bird's nests and floral decorated sugar cookies. I like to place desserts on mix and match plates and at different levels to create interest. I also placed the loveliest glass and copper drink dispenser at the end of the table. It was too pretty not to display!
My favorite part of all the decor though would have to be the gorgeous wreath I hung above the dessert table!  It was really quite easy to make.  I first wrapped the whole thing with olive green satin ribbon, then added some various sized mint and white balloons and some greenery.  But the finishing touch were the beautiful tissue paper flowers I found at Oriental Trading!
They come in all sorts of colors and are a snap to create!

This inspiration could easily be translated to be used for many other special occasions.

I hope this gave you much inspiration to use for your next Easter celebration!
