"Let's Celebrate Us" - Mother's Day Tablescape

Host a Lovely Mother's Day Luncheon

Mother's Day is an opportunity to show those special Moms in your life just how much they mean, so why not WOW them with a gorgeous tablescape and a lovely luncheon! The theme I chose, "Let's Celebrate Us" summed it up perfectly!

The primary inspiration for this fresh and bright tablescape came from these gorgeous melamine plates from Plateshoppe.  I chose the Seabreeze collection for it's amazing color palette and whimsical patterns. And the lemon and lime details paired perfectly!

This look was easier than you think to achieve.  The table runner was a beautiful wrapping paper I had found and  simply just cut to size. Layered plates always gives a classy look to any tablescape and gives you an opportunity to mix and match different patterns and colors.  I love my gold silverware, which by the way is from Target.  You can buy as little or as much as you need because it's sold by the piece!

Placing a colorful linen napkin between your layered plates adds a delightful touch of sophistication and yet another opportunity to add color to your design.
The lemon place card was by far my favorite detail of this party though.  Not your usual place card holder, but wrapped with some pretty ribbon and add in a darling place card and you have an instant conversation piece...plus everyone knows where to sit! LOL

Now, for this tablescape, I decided to place the gorgeous DIY floral arrangement at the end of the table instead of the middle.  I love making my floral arrangements big and grand but not always condusive for conversation purposes.  With this table design, you can have a grand floral arrangement and still see your guests across the table.  The lemon detail on the vase was achieved quite simply by placing a slightly smaller vase inside of the outer vase and sliding slices of lemons between. Impress all your guests at those upcoming summer soirees with this simple yet impressive technique!

Finally, I always have several sheer white drapes on hand for adding a little elegance and drama to any occasion.  For this party, I simply attached them to the pergola and draped them to either side. The final touch was definitly the fun tissue tassel from Glamfete though. I love that she will customize her garlands to match your parties unique color palette!

I hope you found some great inspiration and ideas to use for your next party or perhaps for your Mother's Day celebration!

Thanks for stopping by!
