Letters to Santa!

How to Host a "Dear Santa" Party

Holiday parties are definitely one of my favorites.  In the past, I have stuck with the more traditional gingerbread house or cookie decorating parties.  This year, I decided to change it up a bit and do something a little different.  What little one doesn't look forward to writing a letter to Santa letting him know how ... good?... they've been? HA! So I thought, a "Dear Santa" Party would be a perfect theme! I couldn't wait to see all those adorable letters!

My inspiration for the party decor came from a darling MeriMeri plate I came across.  I loved how they incorporated a fresh pop of blue to the classic Christmas colors. and for a little extra pizzazz, I thought it would be fun to add a black and white Buffalo plaid pattern as well.

After establishing the color palette, I designed the most adorable printables including a sweet invitation suite, a letter to Santa (of course) and a festive Merry Christmas BINGO game!

The backdrop was fun and easy to create. I simply wrapped a plain canvas with a fluffy piece of batting and added the cutest "Naughty Or Nice" banner along with some lovely felt holly and berries.  I surrounded the sign with a cluster of balloons and festive fans.
I kept the desserts fairly simple. Yummy vanilla cupcakes topped with darling little party picks and some colorful macrons did the trick!

Along with writing letters to Santa, playing some fun holiday games and adding in a fun craft or two is just the ticket for a MERRY good time!
