Sweetheart Soiree

Sweetheart Soiree

What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day, than with your favorite gal pals!  The inspiration for this celebration came from these lovely balloons. There were so many gorgeous colors to choose from, but I ultimately decided on a palette of deep plum, rose gold, chrome gold, blushy magenta and white. If you really want to make your balloon displays POP!... try mixing in different finishes, various sizes of balloons and add in a few confetti filled balloons for a splash of fun!

This palette would also translate beautifully for a shower or birthday celebration as well.

As much as I LOVE a gorgeous dessert table, if you are planning on a smaller gathering, why not display your desserts at the end of the table.  It makes for a lovely tablescape!

For this tablescape design, I first started with a pretty striped piece of fabric, added a piece of forest green ribbon down the center and 8 glittery gold votives filled with magenta and white blooms.  Keeping the florals low allows for easy conversation among you and your guests as well as a clear view of your gorgeous
desserts!

Each place setting had a square rose gold rimmed plate topped with a beautiful deep plum napkin detailed with a sparkly magenta ribbon along the side and topped with a darling wooden laser cut name painted gold for each guest. A blush pink glass sat to the right and a glittery favor box filled with yummy chocolates completed the look!

The napkin design can be easily achieved by simply stitching a decorative piece of ribbon to the edge of any fabric napkin. The color combinations are endless.  The smallest details can add the biggest impact to your party design!

The desserts can be as simple or as elaborate as desired.  I do LOVE having a gorgeously decorated cake as the centerpiece as well as a couple other yummy desserts.

Some of my favorite desserts are  decorated sugar cookies, chocolate covered strawberries and scrumptious macaroons. I like to display my desserts at varying heights as well as use various sized cake plates including little mini ones! These are great for displaying an individual cupcake or one or two cookies.

I hope you found lots of great inspiration and ideas to use for your next gathering or special event!

Thanks for stopping by!
