Valentines Day Celebration!

"Cookies & Cocktails" :
A Gal Pal Celebration

I couldn't let Valentine's Day come to an end without one more fabulous party!  Any excuse to get together with girlfriends, is a good excuse for me!
If you're looking for the perfect Valentine celebration, a shower idea or you just want a few gal pals over for a fun get-together, then this "Cookies & Cocktails" theme could be just the ticket.  It's chock-full of fun ideas and inspiration to make your next gathering a sure hit!

I LOVE a great wreath backdrop!  I chose a heart shape of course for Valentine's Day but it could also work beautifully for a bridal shower or even a birthday celebration or you could simply make it round to suit really any occasion.  A little greenery with a couple colorful tissue flowers definitely makes a bold yet elegant statement.

I chose to stay traditional with the palette using various shades of pinks and reds throughout.
The dessert table was simple yet achieved a boldly elegant feel from the popping red cakes plates adorned with elegant crystal details. Topped with beautiful sugar cookies, whimsical cupcakes, a stunning drip cake and a couple mini floral arrangements and the table was complete!

The tablescape design started with a lovely piece of red velveteen running down the center.  TIP: You'd be surprised how many endless table runner options there are at your local fabric store!
I filled a white wooden box with loads of gorgeous blooms and placed it in the center.
Each place setting started with darling pink heart shaped melamine plates topped off with mini heart wreaths adorned with each guests name. A whimsical striped napkin was topped with the loveliest red and white disposable silverware.  Yes, I said "disposable".  You'd never guess it from the look of it. Right?

A mini floral arrangement tucked neatly in glittery gold votive holders was placed above each setting and the sweetest little favor box of macarons sat to the left.  Last but not least, was a delicious raspberry Rose spritzer garnished with the most adorably decorated straws.

Now, I don't know about you, but I LOVE charcuterie platters.  I am all about variety and grazing.  I am also a huge fan of sweets.  So I thought, why not make a "Sweet & Savory" Charcuterie plate.  That's exactly what I did! I placed one at each end of the table so everyone could reach and I filled them with savory meats and cheeses, crackers, nuts, chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels, macrons and lots more decadent yummies!  It's definitely the way to go.

I LOVE having a craft or activity of some sort at all my gatherings. It's not only fun, but it's a great way to keep everyone entertained and engaged.
Number or letter cookies/cakes are all the rage these days. I thought, what a fun activity this would be, just miniaturized of course! I chose a heart shaped sugar cookie filled with buttercream and topped with sprinkles and confections!  Each guest would get a beautiful red pastry box to put their creation in, wrap it up with a lovely ribbon and darling tag and give it to their favorite Valentine!  HOW SWEET!

Now gather some of your favorite Gal Pals and host your own "Cookies & Cocktails" party for any occasion!
