Chinoiserie Garden Bridal Shower

How to Host a Beautiful Garden Bridal Shower

Summertime is upon us and that means Wedding and Shower season too!  I have teamed up with Oriental Trading to show you just how easy it can be to host a gorgeous Bridal Shower or even a Wedding reception by using their lovely new line of wedding decor and accessories.
The inspiration for this Shower came from these gorgeous Ralph Lauren plates I found at Home Goods.  I love how the Chinoiserie pattern is mixed so beautifully with the yellow and orange flowers as well as a darling butterfly for some added whimsy!

I started as I always do by designing the invitation and the coordinating printables.  I decided to include a menu to give the look some added sophistication.  This Invitation suite could easily work for an elegant wedding as well. I absolutely LOVE how the printables turned out!  I think I have a new obsession.....Chinoiserie!

You can find the Chinoiserie Invitation Collection HERE!

I created this beautiful table design by first adding a floor length white tablecloth to the table and adding a sheer table runner with an intricate gold vine pattern that matched the inspiration plates perfectly. For seating, instead of using typical chairs,  I decided to use a lovely off-white settee on one side and a wooden bench on the other.  I added a couple fun pillows to tie all the colors together and at the same time add warmth and coziness.

The flower arrangements were a collection of varying sized gold mirrored vases placed in the center of the table and one large Chinoiserie vase which I added to the end of the table for added beauty.

The place setting started with these wonderful gold diamond rimmed chargers topped with a simple white dinner plate and finished with the colorful inspiration plate.  I then placed a small orange glass votive filled with a single flower and tucked a small place card among it. The menu was set at an angle to the right.  I tied the silverware together with some beautiful orange silk ribbon for added interest and the napkin was folded in a decorative manner and placed at the upper left of the setting.  I thought a stunning crystal hair comb would make a lovely favor idea. I placed the comb on top of the napkin with a small "thank you" card tucked elegantly within the comb and finished it with a bright orange silk ribbon tied into a neat little bow.

Finally, the glass I chose was a clear stemless wine glass decorated with a bright yellow striped straw finished off by simply tying a blue ribbon at the top. Even the simplest of details can add such impact to the overall design of a table!

I really enjoyed styling this beautiful Bridal Shower tablescape and I hope you find lots of inspiration to use for you next event.
