Hello Fall!

Hello Fall Dinner Party!

Oh, how I love fall!!  Growing up in New England was a real treat during the Fall.  To be able to see all the trees change to the most wonderful colors of reds, oranges, yellows and purples.  If you have never been to New England in the fall, it's definitely a must do!  Now that I live in the Pacific Northwest, it's definitely not as spectacular but lovely just the same!

What better way to welcome a new season than to say "hello" with a lovely Fall dinner.
The inspiration for this family dinner came when Gail from the Plate Shoppe asked me to collaborate and incorporate some of her beautifully designed Melamine plates into a Fall tablescape.  When I saw her purple Garden Collection, I fell in love!  The colors were fabulous.  I loved the unexpected pop of light blue and popped it throughout the design.
The invitation and printables were designed first and I just adore how they turned out.  They paired beautifully with the plates.

Creating a beautiful tablescape is all about layering. I began by laying a pale orange woven throw with tassel fringe along the edges as the tablecloth. Next, down the center of the table, I first added a layer of Eucalyptus leaves, then placed a distressed white artichoke vase in the middle with two small geometric shaped gold vases on either side.  I filled them with the most gorgeous dahlia flower blooms.  I finished the look with mini pumpkins and gourds sprinkled at either end.

The place setting was made up of a round yellow woven place mat which was layered with a white distressed charger plate and finally topped with the beautiful inspiration plate.  I then place a darling mini white pumpkin in the center and added a sweet little leaf shaped place card by simply attaching it with a white stick pin.

A beautiful white linen napkin trimmed out with delicate gold beading along with the silverware was neatly tied together with a piece of light blue ribbon.  The bright colored orange and purple glasses set to the right added even more pop to the already beautifully colorful tablescape.

My favorite elements of the tablescape would have to be the darling macaron filled favor boxes set just above the place setting for the guests to discover as well as the scrumptious charcuterie board set at the end of the table for everyone to enjoy before dinner was served!

The side board table was filled with all the delicious side dishes and entrees as well as the yummy desserts.  The golden yellow painted side board matched the dinner party perfectly!
I love when I am able to incorporate a piece of painted furniture to my parties.  It adds a bit of whimsy and fun!  Above the table I hung two white canvases with a gold leaf detail side by side and attached a darling multi colored ribbon garland at an angle across the canvases.  This added just the right amount of cheer to the party.

I wanted the food to reflect the warmth and heartiness of Fall so the menu I chose consisted of roasted multi colored baby carrots, panko breaded chicken breasts finished with roasted lemons, a Fall inspired mixed green salad and a lovely zucchini and tomato ricotta tart. I was thrilled to be able to use the large wooden salad bowl along with matching serving bowls my mom had handed down to me. I love when I am able to incorporate handed down pieces!

The desserts were simple but super yummy.  The first dessert was an equally beautiful as they were delicious collection of multi colored macarons dusted with gold glitter.....because every dinner party needs a little sparkle!

The cake was a delectable rich carrot cake covered in a lovely cream cheese frosting and decorated with some of those gorgeous dahlia blooms.

I hope you find loads of inspiration and ideas to use at your next Fall inspired dinner party!

I hope you found tons of inspiration for your next party!
